10 Must-Read Books for 2021!

By Shelley Funke Frommeyer CFP®
Founder, CEO & Wealth Advisor at FFR Wealth Team

Pleasure, inspiration, and problem-solving drive my reading selections, along with a very important FFR Wealth Team valueLifelong Learning!

I have also joined the Metropolitan Book Club this past year. The book club enriched my life by exposing me to wonderful reads and interesting business professionals to discuss them with!

Without further ado, here are my 2021 Must-Reads:

Cryptid Hunters by Roland Smith

For pleasure, my soon to be 11-year-old daughter has invited me to read with her. As I can not pass up that offer, she suggested Cryptid Hunters. We have plans to finish that quickly and start on book two titled Tentacles. We are enjoying this time together and the young adult conversation provoked by the book.

Delicious by Ruth Reichl

Sticking with pleasure reads, I encourage this book. I love to prepare healthy and delicious meals for my family and this book has promoted a better understanding of how blessed I am with plentiful food both from my garden and grocery.

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austin

Great read for our present chaos and let’s face it, you can never go wrong with a classic!

The Great Bridge by David McCullough

This Roebling Family story sheds a bit of light on the challenges we face in replacing our Brent Spence bridge.

Traction by Gino Wickman

This is a wonderful starting place to guide the entrepreneur business owner to a process path that works.

Proven in the Trenches by Ron Carson

11 Principles to Maximize Advisor Value and Transform Your Firm’s Future

The Practice: Shipping Creative Work by Seth Godin

This book is meant to inspire artists, writers, and entrepreneurs to commit to putting their best foot forward. A call to action in pursuit of dreams.

Pray by Day App (available on iPhone & Android phones)

This app leads me through Daily Scripture including thanksgiving items and songs that inspire my heart.

The Bible

I really enjoy touching the pages of my Bible, but for flexibility and inspiration on the go, Daily Scripture Readings can be found on the Laudate App (available on iPhone & Android phones).

Any book my grandchildren choose!

When they select one and climb in my lap for reading time, I have yet to find a better book than the one we’re reading at that very moment!

Inspire Yourself

Inspire, problem solve, spread love, peace, and hope – Cheers to an outstanding 2021!
